Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies
At The King's School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Our safeguarding and child protection policies set out how the governing board of The King's School carries out its statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in accordance with Section 175 of the Education Act 2002. Our policies set out the safeguarding responsibilities of the whole school, ensuring a safe, welcoming and vigilant environment for all children, where children feel valued and are respected, fulfilling our mission:
“Encouraging every child to reach their full potential – nurtured and supported in a Christian community that lives and learns by the values of love, compassion and respect”
(John 13:34 “Love one another as I have loved you.”)
The safeguarding of our pupils is an integral part of school life, ensuring our pupils flourish academically, spiritually and personally, nurtured and valued by committed staff.
The King's School fully recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. The school safeguarding and child protection polices and documents are, as a minimum, reviewed and updated annually.
