Parent Meetings

There are several opportunities across the school year to come in to school and meet with teachers: two parent consultation meetings in the Autumn and Spring terms, and an open afternoon in the Summer term. During parent consultations, there will be a chance to see children's books.

We also hold Year Group Exhibitions - each year group has the opportunity once a year to showcase some work from a chosen topic across the curriculum.

Parent Consultations

In the second half of the Autumn and Spring terms, parent consultation 10-minute appointments will allow you to discuss your child's progress with their class teacher: they are spread over two days to provide flexibility for you. At these meetings you can expect to discuss the progress your child is making, the results of any assessments and their attainment so far. English and maths books will be available for you to look at whilst you wait for your appointment. They may also be used as a point of reference during the meeting.

Children on the SEND register will be offered a 20-minute appointment. Those with an EHCP will be offered a separate appointment and will not be able to book a meeting for the regular sessions.

Dates for parent consultations will be shared on Newsletters, on the website calendar and via Arbor. Appointments are booked through the Parent Portal on Arbor.

End of Year Report and Classroom Visits

In the summer term, teachers will provide a written report on your child’s progress and attainment. An open afternoon then provides an opportunity to share and celebrate learning, and both your child’s current teacher and next teacher will be available in their respective classrooms. Visiting new classrooms before the summer is excellent for transition and to alleviate any apprehensiveness.
